What happens to my WestESIM connection when traveling through remote US corridors, such as desert highways?

Updated April 22, 2026

WestESIM leverages premium networks across the United States to provide extensive coverage. On major highways, such as those traversing the Mojave Desert in California or the scenic routes through Utah's national parks, you'll generally experience strong signal. However, expect brief instances of signal fluctuation or 'dead zones' in deeply rural or mountainous areas, or within long tunnels. Your connection will typically auto-switch between 4G LTE and 5G where available. For continuous navigation, we highly recommend downloading offline maps from Google Maps or Apple Maps before embarking on your journey, ensuring you remain oriented even without an active data connection.
